Gregory Riley, MA S-PET
One of the areas most in-demand
trainers, Greg Riley
is an Anthrozoologist, an Applied Canine
Behaviorist, a Professional Dog Trainer, and a K-9 Adventurist. Greg has been
working with dogs for the better part of two decades, and has completed two
training apprenticeships and a Master’s Degree in Anthrozoology with expertise
in Canine Learning Theory and Behavior, Humane Training Methodologies, and
Animal Ethics. Greg also recently completed additional advanced education in
Dog Emotion & Cognition out of Duke University, as well as a 16 week
Advanced Dog Training Principles course through The Michael Ellis School for
Dog Trainers and Leerburg University. Further, Greg is a trainer in the
humane application and use of e-collar technologies with Softouch K-9
which signifies his use of a science-based and humane
E-Collar teaching methodology that maximizes the human-canine bond while
training dogs to the highest levels of off-leash, or as Greg terms it,
"off the hook" proficiency.
Here at TBU Greg specializes in Marker Training Obedience & Impulse
Control Classes, and Aberrant Behavior Intervention Training & Therapies;
all through the employment of humane methodologies. In addition to being an instructor in the humane use of e-collar training technologies
(S-PET), Greg is also a Professional Member of the International Association of
Canine Professionals (IACP) and of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers
(APDT), and is a certified trainer and evaluator for both the American Kennel
Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen series, and the Association of Professional Dog
Trainers (APDT) C.L.A.S.S. Canine Life and Social Skills training

Matt Campbell has worked at Tail Blazers University since the
beginning. Working with dogs comes
naturally to him. While working at TBU, Matt
decided he wanted to broaden his skill set even further. He has successfully transitioned
into the role of Professional Dog Trainer.
Matt offers several great training programs for you and your dog. These sessions are geared toward those of you who
want to address a specific issue your dog may be facing, if want your dog to be
off-leash trained, and/or if you want your dog to learn basic obedience and commands. No matter what level of training your dog may
need, Matt is here to help educate you on the training process and assist in choosing the
best program available for you and your pup!
Seth started out as a Dog Handler in 2014 then quickly worked his way up to Dog Trainer and most recently has become the General Manager of TBU. He has always been passionate about working with animals and got his start working on a dairy farm in Westport MA when he was a teenager.
Seth is skilled in all types of dog training, but most often teaches our Puppy Foundations and Leash Manners classes. He is amazing at working with families with new puppies and often continues to work with them well past their 'puppy' phase. Anyone that has worked with Seth can tell that he is committed to providing the best training experience possible for each family he works with!
Lorraine Messier’s interest in Fitness Training has been an
evolution over years of training, mentoring, competing and learning. She has been involved with APDT seminars/events,
Karen Pryor Clicker training, on-line courses & recently joined the Canine
Sports Fitness Trainer® certification program.
The Fitness Training works well with the cross-training routine she has
created for her own dogs & has started expanding these techniques using the
FitPaws® Program Design.
Lorraine’s experiences in performance sports, rescue,
training & fitness is a true passion.
She has been competing & training in Flyball since 1998, becoming a
NAFA Approved Judge in support of regional tournaments. Lorraine is also active in North American Treibball,
Agility & Disc Dog competition.
As a hands-on Pet Dog Trainer for several years, the ability
to reach the dogs through their owners, allowed Lorraine to expand handling
skills & teaching techniques to make training more fun &
rewarding. Fitness training works
together with any activity a dog is doing, whether back yard or competitively,
which is the core focus of Lorraine’s skills.

Beth’s students have gone on to the highest levels of competition, while others simply enjoy the training and fun they have in class. Beth has successfully competed in Agility, obedience, Schutzhund, Breed, Rally and Barn Hunt since 2000. This overall comprehension of competition with you canine and her great mental game have strengthened her skills as a dog trainer and National competitor. Beth’s own dogs have provided many lessons in patience, perseverance and understanding of canine behavior. Beth works to make ALL dog and handlers teams the best they can be through consistency, clarity and fun.
